Complete
Foaling Management
BVF offers complete foaling services for both resident mares and ship-ins. Mares on foal watch are monitored 24/7 by an experienced foaling staff that lives on the farm. We also utilize the Foalert system as well as cameras. All mares are foaled out in a double foaling stall with straw. After foaling the mares and foals are monitored throughout to assure all normal parameters are met. A colostrum bank is available if needed and the nearest referral hospital is 3 miles away in case of an emergency. The foaling stall is completely stripped and disinfected after each foaling.

Foal Watch
Foaling mares are monitored 24/7 with cameras, foalerts and an on-premises night foaling crew. The double foaling stall is bedded in straw and completely stripped and disinfected between foalings. Post- foaling mares and their foals are turned out in individual paddocks and brought in every night.

Lay-Ups and hospital cases:
BVF can accommodate most hospital discharges, including post-surgery, eye treatments and medical cases and can accommodate 24/7 medications.

Mares Management
& Stallion Collection
Breeding mares:
Short term breeding mares will
be turned out in individual paddocks. Long term boarding mares will be slowly acclimated to a herd environment.

Stallion Collection:
Stallions are collected in our covered breeding shed with our modern breeding phantom and safe footing.
